I love books and always have. I am a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi, as well as horror. But after my first romance 20 years ago, Johanna Lindsey’s A Gentle Feuding (remember that one?), I was hooked on the genre.
I obsess over new books, reading all in one sitting, much to the annoyance of my family. So I have to curtail my reading habit, especially if I want to do any writing!
My favorite type of romance is a toss up between paranormal and futuristic. I can proudly say I was reading what few paranormals I could find back when they weren’t so popular, and I still can’t find enough futuristic romances to satisfy me.
I had been seriously writing for two years when New Concepts Publishing (NCP) expressed an interest in my work. Blackthorne's Light was my first novella, published in the Dark and Dangerous anthology. It is currently available in print through NCP and Waldenbooks. My most recent work was just published in March 2006 from NCP entitled, Below the Surface, Storm Lords: Book Two.
I have a varied background: leaving college with a BA in English to join the United States Marine Corps as an officer, working as an information technologies specialist, and working as a middle manager in a national trucking company. I am currently a fulltime crazed mother of four, taking care of two boys both under the age of three while negotiating band practice and art club for the older children. Needless to say, finding time to write has become a major challenge, but one I look forward to each day.
