A native California, Barbara has lived at both ends of the state. While she misses the hot summer nights of Southern California, she enjoys the beautiful bays and hillsides of Northern California as well as the exciting and intriguing city of San Francisco -- one of her favorite settings for her books.
After a successful career in public relations, Barbara turned her attention to writing fiction in 1988. Her first book, PROMISE OF LOVE, was sold to Silhouette Romance under the pen name, Kristina Logan. After writing seven books for Silhouette Romance, Barbara got the urge to write longer, more complex stories. DANIEL'S GIFT, the story of a young boy who has a "near death" experience and his extranged parent, who find love just in time, won the prestigious RITA Award from the Romance Writers of America for Best Contemporary Single Title Romance. DANIEL'S GIFT was the first of nine single title contemporary romances written for Avon Books. Other titles include RYAN'S RETURN, ASK MARIAH (RITA Finalist), ONE TRUE LOVE, THE SWEETEST THING, ALMOST HOME, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL (RITA Finalist), and LOVE WILL FIND A WAY.
In 2003 Barbara moved to NAL (New American Library) a division of Penguin to write both women's fiction and romantic suspense, including SUMMER SECRETS, GOLDEN LIES (A RITA Finalist), ALL SHE EVER WANTED, DON'T SAY A WORD, TAKEN and PLAYED.
