Real name: Fabio Lanzoni
Fabio began modeling but it would be romance that would skyrocketed his career -- aided by illustrator Elaine Duillo who was the first to recognize Fabio's sensual appeal. She painted his first two covers, Enchantress Mine by Bertrice Small and Johanna Lindsey's Hearts Aflame.
In October 1993, Kensington published the first romance novel written by a man under his own name, Pirate by Fabio -- aided by veteran author Eugenia Riley.
