Review for Right Kind of Guy, The (ebook)
Author: Kerri-Leigh Grady
Date of Review: 10/07/16

Reviewer Comments: I loved every minute of this fun book. Ms. Grady knows how to take the genre of romance and poke fun at herself, the books and the industry. She obviously doesn’t take herself too seriously as evidenced in this romantic comedy. You will laugh out loud at the antics in this book. Kelsey Spencer writes romance novels for a living. She doesn’t make much, but she can support herself. Unfortunately, Kelsey has become quite disillusioned with romance. She doesn’t believe in the happily ever after anymore and thinks that romance novels give her readers false hope. Kelsey is at the trade convention in Las Vegas to promote her current book and to talk to her agent about branching out into thrillers. She isn’t expecting to be dragged into a family drama or to find an extremely attractive man. Aaron Grant is only in Las Vegas to convince his sister to come home and do her part for the family business before his father loses his mind. He doesn’t read romance novels and is sure that they have played a part in his sister’s latest fiasco. Aaron has spent his whole life protecting his sister, Jasmine, from her crazy schemes. He doesn’t know what to do when Jasmine suddenly announces that she is marrying a cover model. Hopefully, he can convince Kelsey to help him stop the wedding. He just needs to ignore the overwhelming attraction he feels for her. This book has everything you could want with a story told in Vegas. Yes, they do go to many wedding chapels, there is gambling and of course food. Aaron and Kelsey have no idea what they are getting into when they meet and agree to stop Jasmine from making a giant mistake. At the same time, they are both fighting an attraction. They know that their lives lay in different directions. Aaron is constantly traveling for his father’s business and Kelsey has no idea what she is doing next or where her career will take her.
