An admirer of Mary Wollstonecraft, Sabrina Simmons has no use for -- or knowledge of -- romantic love. She is an unfashionable bluestocking, intelligent, pragmatic and determined. When faced with the possibility of losing her home, Sabrina decides that she will do whatever necessary to prevent such an occurrence -- even if it means seducing one of England's most notorious rakes, the Viscount Colbridge. One stormy, magical night, Sabrina's prayers are answered when she inadvertently summons forth assistance in the form of a ghost -- the ghost of one Nell deNuit, a famous London madam. As the bawdy Nell plays Cyrano to Sabrina, tutoring her in the ways of seduction, both Sabrina and her viscount learn a lesson; not one of seduction, but one of true love.
