Review for Mistletoe, Mischief and the Marquis (ebook)

Reviewer Comments: I really enjoyed this novella set during the holiday season. Reading it while the snow was falling made it even more appropriate. The story may be short, but Ms. Grey packs a lot into a few pages. None of the words in this story are wasted and each one carries the story forward. Seth Wythebury, Marquis of Wythebury, never thought he would have to make good on his promise to his sister to take care of his nephews, but that day has come. When his sister and her husband die from a lung fever, Seth finds himself with two rambunctious boys to raise. Fallon and Heron are Seth’s top priority. Getting an invitation to attend a Christmas holiday at his friend’s house with the boys makes Seth hope that the first holiday without their parents can be a happy one. He doesn’t expect to meet someone who invades his mind and makes him question how he is parenting. Lillian Prim is the sister-in-law to Seth’s friend. She is at the house for the holiday as well. When she realizes that the two young boys are stuck inside reading instead of outside in the snow, she makes it her mission to help them have fun. Lillian doesn’t expect their uncle to capture her attention. She doesn’t hold back her opinion when telling Seth exactly what she thinks about how he is raising the boys. Seth and Lillian may argue, but the sparks flying between them can be felt from the first meeting. The question is—can they compromise enough to build a life together? Will Seth bend on his structure for the boys to allow them to have fun? Can Lillian find common ground with Seth? All of these questions are answered. Readers new to Ms. Grey will find an author to add to their lists. Fans will love the talent Ms. Grey has in telling a story that is romantic and heartwarming.
