for Scandalous Love (reissue)

It has taken a longer time to finish this book. While it's quite understandable for Nicole to be attracted to the handsome Hadrian, especially when she believes his interest in her has been more honourable and will eventually lead to marriage although in truth, he has mistaken her as a married woman, available for a liaison, I feel quite disgusted when Nicole refuses to back off after she learns about the purpose of his interest and for the fact that he's engaged to another. Removing herself from the safety of her country home to the place she has been trying hard to avoid by going to London because her Hadrian is in London, even after knowing he is INeligible, I only wish she has taken a wrong carriage and heads to the Arctic instead. Though techanically she has not stolen Hadrian from his fiancee since Elizabeth has conveniently died from illness to make way for them, the disgust I feel for Nicole remains rooted in me.
