Maureen Child sold her first book in September of 1990. It was a great book with a terrible title, but that didn't matter because she'd succeeded in becoming what she'd always wanted to be. A professional writer. Seventy five books later, she still thinks her job is the best in the world.
Over the years, she's written under lots of different names and she prefers the term 'pseudonym' to 'alias'. Maureen's been known as Ann Carberry, Sarah Hart and Kathleen Kane. Gets a little confusing at parties, but she'll answer to any and all above names! She's written historical romances set in the wild west, and paranormal romances. She's written Americana and even, once, a romance set in Victorian England, which she absolutely loved doing.
Now, Maureen writes Silhouette Desires and mainstream contemporary romances for St. Martin's Press.
Maureen lives in Southern California with her family and with Abbey… the Golden Retriever you can read about in FINDING YOU, the first in the trilogy about the Candellano family.
