Kathleen Kimmel is the author of the Birch Hall Romance series, which includes A Lady’s Guide to Ruin and A Gentleman’s Guide to Scandal. She’s lived coast to coast, from Washington, DC to Seattle, Washington, pursuing her education and the company of her best friend. Once she settled on the rainier of the two Washingtons, she got to work writing everything from coffee orders to ad copy to video games. She also wised up and promoted her best friend to the role of husband, which came as a surprise only to the two of them. She’s sampled a number of careers like fine wines she can’t quite afford, but always comes back to stringing words together for money. When she’s not writing, which does occasionally happen, she kayaks in the Sound, reads anything that stands still long enough, and tries to remember how to spell “occasionally” right on the first attempt.
