Carol Townend
Born in England, in the spa town of Harrogate, Carol was educated in the wilds of the North Yorkshire moors within sight of Count Dracula’s Whitby Abbey. Her love of history took her to London University and a degree in the subject. Her first novel—set in eleventh-century England and published by Harlequin Mills & Boon—won the RNA New Writers’ Award.
Carol now lives in London near Kew Gardens with her husband and daughter, and when she is not writing she is usually found with her head in a book, having cappuccinos with her friends or going for long walks in the country (any country) provided, of course, that a medieval castle is somewhere nearby!
