Elizabeth Powell started her writing career at the age of ten, when she began composing stories about her favorite television and movie characters. She graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in music and went on to obtain a master's degree in ethnomusicology from the University of Wisconsin. After trying a number of jobs, she succumbed to her muse and became a full-time author. When she is not writing or reading anything she can get her hands on, she enjoys Middle Eastern music and dance, kickboxing and creating period costumes. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Bill, and two very spoiled cats, Moose and Shadow--all of whom patiently put up with her wretched sense of humor.
